George Herbert Walker Bush Sr.:

George Herbert Walker Bush was the 41st president of the United States. He was born in Milton, Massachusetts on June 12, 1924. On his 18th birthday George joined the Navy. He served in World War II. He married Barbra Pierce in January of 1945. They had six children together: George, Robin (who died as a child), John (also known as Jeb), Neil, Marvin, and Dorothy. In 1980 George ran for the Republican nomination for president, but lost. After that, he served as Vice President with Ronald Reagan. In 1988 he won the Republican nomination for President and asked Senator Dan Quayle to run with him for Vice President. George Bush became president in 1989 and remained president until 1993. During his term as president he was in a heated battle with Iraq when the First Gulf War broke out when Iraq invaded Kuwait, an oil rich bordering country to the South. The war lasted at least a year and cost many lives for both sides. We later succeded in freeing Kuwait of Iraq's clutches. We used special forces on foot and tank and air support to aid in the fight. George Bush Sr. is the fateher of George W. Bush who is currently persident of the U.S.

 

William (Bill) Jefferson Clinton:

William J. Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States. President Clinton was born as William Jefferson Blythe IV on August 19, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas, just after his father died in a car crash. When William was 4 his mother married Roger Clinton, in high school he took the name. In 1975 he married Hillary Rodham they had one daughter, Chelsea. In 1993 William Clinton became the 42nd president of the U.S. Clinton overall had an O.K. presidency until the mid 90's when he was involved in a sexual relations with a fellow coworker and White House Intern Monica Lewinsky. He had relations with her for about a year. He almost was impeached for his actions and conduct but avoided getting the boot. He was elected for a second term in 1996/1997. He served until 2001.

 

Margaret Thatcher:

Margaret Thatcher was the United Kingdom' s first woman Prime Minister. Margaret Roberts was born on October 13, 1925 in Grantham, England. In 1951 Margaret married Denis Thatcher. They had twins, Mark and Carol. In 1959 Margaret Thatcher was elected a member of parliament for Finchley (by London). In 1970 she was moved into the cabinet as Secretary of State for Education. Margaret became Prime Minister in May of 1979. She was not only the first women to become Prime Minister of The United Kingdom, she had one of the longest terms ever served. She was liked and hated in the U.K. She devised some economic plans that hurt the U.K., but later helped the country get back on its feet. Margaret Thatcher resigned on November 22, 1990. She served as the U.K.'s Prime Minister for 11 years.

 

Slobodan Milsevic:

Slobodan Milosevic the former Yugoslav leader was charged before the United Nations war crimes tribunal at The Hague, charged with crimes against humanity in Croatia and Kosovo, and genocide in Bosnia in 1996-1997. It is the biggest European war crimes trial since the associates of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler were tried at Nuremberg, Germany, after World War II.

 

Saddam Hussein:

Saddam Hussein was brutal dictator of Iraq from 1979-2003. While he was in college he joined the Baath party. In 1958 Saddam killed a supporter of Iraqi ruler Abdul-Karim Qassim. Soon after that, in 1979, he was Iraq's president. Iraq and Iran went through a 10 year war. In 1990 Iraq invaded Kuwait, leading to the Gulf War, which ended in 1991 with Saddam Hussein still President of Iraq. Sadddam has treated his people terriblly during his dictatorship killing anyone who didn't support him. He went as far as to usuing Mustard Gas on the Kurdish People, his own people inside his country. He has tourtered millions of different people and inprisioned them. He was found inside a 6x6 hole in a rural farm in Iraq, hiding in December of 2003. He was captured and is being put on trial.

 

Osama Bin Laden:

Osama Bin Laden is one of the top FBI\rquote s most wanted terrorists. Osama planed and helped pay some of the worst acts of terrorism in the past 10 years. Al-Qaeda, his world wide terrorist network, had a large part in the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center Attacks. He also helped with the 1998 bombing of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and the 2000 attack of U.S.S. Cole in Yemen. Osama Bin Laden is also responsible for the the attacks on The World Trade Centers, and Pentagon on September 11th of 2001. He is currently on the run hiding from U.S. Special Forces in the Afghanistan and Pakistani Region in the Tora Bora Mountain Range. We are getting closer to his capture.
